The demo remains important because it introduced the structure that the full game expands: several puzzle worlds, distinct hero rules, and eventually mechanics that collide.

Official Demo Window And Content

The official news post says the public demo was part of Steam Next Fest: June 2026 Edition. It was available on Steam from Monday, June 15 at 10 a.m. PT to Monday, June 22 at 10 a.m. PT. The same post advertised more than 100 handcrafted puzzles in the demo and more than 1,000 handcrafted puzzles in the full game.

Polygon's preview described the demo as larger than a typical teaser and connected it to Jonathan Blow's estimate that fully completing the game could take about 500 hours. That figure came from preview commentary, not an official completion requirement.

June 19 Content Update

The official demo announcement also identified a major content update for Friday, June 19. It said the update would expand the demo with more puzzles and let players experience what happens when the game's worlds start to collide.

That makes the update a useful research boundary. Early demo observations before June 19 should not be assumed to describe the expanded demo or final release without additional checking.

From Demo Snapshot To Release Map

The Release_v1 community snapshot used in our map areas index retains 104 routes with Demo community-engine replay evidence. This is valuable provenance, but it also means a route may preserve demo-era evidence rather than an independently replayed release solution.

Use demo material to understand mechanics and history. Use current-release gameplay to confirm solutions, availability, and exact puzzle behavior.
